Elite Performance Academy
Training Young Athletes Today to be Champions Tomorrow
Elite Performance Academy is a new venture founded by accomplished professional athlete Pat Woodcock in order to help prepare today’s young athletes for success in the future.
Athletes will benefit from Pat’s expertise and vast experience in all aspects of athletic training, including:
- Strength and power development
- Speed, agility, quickness training
- Flexibility improvement
Elite Performance Academy athletes will also be coached on the responsibilities that go along with being an athlete. They will learn the importance of hard work and of being a leader, both on the field and in their community. They will also be coached on how to break the stereotypes that are associated with being an athlete, stereotypes created both by society and by the athletes themselves. Pat is a true mentors who will provide guidance and support to the athletes, including an introduction to the “5-Star Program for Excellence”. This program has led Pat to success in all aspects of life, from the playing field to the classroom to the community.
Programs
Combine Testing: Athletes will be tested in standard speed and agility drills, including 40-yard dash, 20-yard shuttle, 3-cone drill, vertical jump, and standing broad jump. Results will be maintained in a database and provided to university scouts.
Off-season Programs: Athletes will be coached through an intense Strength and Power development program during their sport’s off-season. Programs will also aim to correct an athlete’s specific weaknesses.
In-season Programs: The focus of these programs will be to help athletes stay injury-free and maintain their strength throughout their competitive season.
Speed & Agility: Athletes will learn proper sprint mechanics and body position, improve foot speed and change of direction, and become all-around better athletes. These programs will be offered in both mini-camp format and longer programs that will allow for greater progression. Nutrition: Each athlete’s individual metabolic and caloric needs will be evaluated. The athlete will receive a basic nutritional outline, with food suggestions and a sample meal plan.
Special Seminars: Coach Pat and Special Guest Speakers will speak to the athletes on a wide variety of topics, from Goal-Setting to Exam Preparation, from Media Training to Making a Positive Impact on Your Community. Coach Pat feels that it is this program that will help athletes develop into well-rounded Students, Citizens, and Athletes, and will set Elite Performance Academy apart from other training programs.
